What Is The Chocolate Meltdown?
The Chocolate Meltdown is the premier event to support the ALS Hope Foundation and Hope Loves Company. Attendees will enjoy all sorts of incredible chocolate, candy, food and drinks while taking in the beautiful scenery at the Adventure Aquarium’s Currents ballroom and Shark Realm. Think of it as Trick-or-Treating for adults. This year’s event will take place on Friday evening, September 23, 2022.
About ALS Hope Foundation
The ALS Hope Foundation is a regional, independent foundation that has been advocating for people with ALS and their families since 1999. Primarily, we fund clinical research and education at the nationally acclaimed MDA/ALS Center of Hope at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine. This clinic has been providing a multidisciplinary approach to care for people with ALS and their families in the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan
area since 1984. The ALS Hope Foundation is working to ensure that this clinic can continue to offer access to clinical trials of promising therapeutics and maintain its work at the forefront of clinical ALS research.
The ALS Hope Foundation also maintains an excellent team of scientists focused on ALS, operating out of the Dr. Robert Sinnott Research Laboratory at Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine. This laboratory relies on its collaborations with other scientists to attack ALS from new and innovative directions.

About Hope Loves Company
Hope Loves Company is the only non-profit in the U.S. with the mission of providing educational and emotional support to the children and young adults who had or have a loved one battling ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease.
HLC's premier program, Camp HLC, is now held in six states and is a wonderful opportunity for children, young adults, and families affected by ALS to come together to have fun, build friendships, and feel less alone in their challenges.
Of the 30,000 Americans affected by ALS each year, it's estimated that 85% have children or grandchildren. Often, these children become caregivers to their loved one battling the disease. HLC offers these children a chance to enjoy the typical camp experience of hiking, swimming, zip-lining, and more, while also receiving support from peers who share in their experiences.
Event Details
DATE: Friday, September 23, 2022
LOCATION: Adventure Aquarium, One Riverside Drive, Camden, NJ 08103
VIP RECEPTION: 6:00 - 7:30 PM
VIP guests will get the opportunity to spend an hour and a half in the main aquarium after hours. VIP exclusives include a champagne bar, butlered hors d'oeuvres, a raw seafood bar, pasta bar, and hands on interaction with live exhibits including a chance to meet one-on-one with a penguin. VIP's will also receive a Chocolate Rose which is a chance to win our 50/50 Raffle.
THE MELTDOWN: 6:30 - 9:30 PM
The main event will take place in the Currents Ballroom and Shark Realm. Guests can walk through the shark tunnel while enjoying an open bar, food, chocolate fountains, and every type of sweet treat imaginable.
There will be a Silent Auction where everyone can bid on incredible trips, experiences, sports tickets and memorabilia, and more.
Attendees and Non-Attendees can buy a Chocolate Rose for $25 for a chance to win our 50/50 Raffle. ( Our last winner walked away with over $3,000!)
